Optimal Filter Design for Power Converters Regulated by FCS-MPC in the MEA

For the direct-current (dc) electrical power distribution system onboard more electric aircraft, voltage quality of dc bus is a great concern since there could be significant harmonics distortions when feeding different electronics loads. This problem can potentially addressed by introducing filter to point-of-load converters regulated finite control set model predictive (FCS-MPC). To optimize this filter, genetic algorithm (GA) utilized for searching optimal design, which guarantees low mass and losses. Different from conventional design methods, proposed method treats LC as variables, need optimized while ensuring output quality. First, relations among operation conditions, constraints are built based on commercial data circuit simulations. Then, optimization developed with these Pareto front finally given GA. After that, best obtained an index integrating two objectives. Lastly, approach verified experiment where FCS-MPC converter was used particular example fed three filters.
